Qudhac Posted September 8, 2004 since somalia is well on the way to making the 15 peace process another failure with their new rounds of deadly wars, is forign millitary occupation the last saving grace for somalia, few years of millitary rule and to forget builtding useless clan parliaments but intead to forge a governing council of hand picked individuals with large foreing troops to enforce that ruling councils rule, troops that are willing to fight and take loses withough running off untill all the current warlords and millitias are made weak and overtaken by new armed force.. but is the international community willing to spend money on somalia?? Qudhac Posted September 8, 2004 horn please spare us the crodile tears i dont wish harm on anybody and it was you and your chums who were chearleading amongs yourselfs for different warlords who are initiating new wars who will are the cause of these millions of people lives being on the edge, yet you blame me for talking about it, didnt you have this humanatarian feeling when you were chearleading for one over the other on the basis of clan leanage so please stop being two faced. as it is plain fact that somalia has entered its usual cyle of starting another millitia war as another peace process has finished, or are you saying dont mention the fact on the ground. so the question was can foriegn millitary occupation work for somalia. Infact on the contrary HornA it is a well hearted wish, cause evidently the lives of the thousands you talk about is no longer hanging on the thread but has gone worst to beyond human comprehension. It is a decline inflicted by their belief and support for their warlords on the basis of linage. There a foreign intervention is a saviour and a gate to saving whatever dignity that remains of what was once called Somalia, but today called Puntland, Hiiraan authority, TNG, Juba Valley authority and last but not least the RRA authority of Bay and Bakool. Che -Guevara Posted September 8, 2004 foriegners can't solve Somalia's problems. Only Somalis could ultimately fix their problems.Any foriegn imposed solution might work for the time being ,but it would eventually fail. What Somalia needs is more than a goverment, there has to be a total reformation of the society and its culture. Such reformation could perhaps be initiated when the average Somali realises that he/she needs to put his interests first, and forget tribal lineage. Perhaps every Somali should ask himself/herself WHAT DO I GET OUT OF SUPPORTING MY TRIBE/WARLORD?.......In Reality NOTHING!!!!!!! There will only be real peace in Somalia when the citizenry start supporting the state, and when they hopefully understand that their interest are better served by helping the state not the tribe. P.S Foriegn occupation won't work as no Somali wants to see armed foriegners in their land.
