JIDAAWY Posted September 23, 2003 You don’t have to stop breathing… And for your heart to quit bounding And lie motionless in a casket To be pronounced DEAD!! Many of us don’t know there are dead people walking around us.... We see them everyday.. They eat They drink They go to school They laugh They cry But they don’t know they are dead But if we think of it..... different people have different perceptions of being dead And most of the time that revolves around what’s important to them.. Some people may feel their life has ended when they lose someone they love… They think life is meaningless without that person.. And there are some people who feel like their life has been stripped away from them when they get surrounded by failure Academically or practically They feel dead inside if they fail a class or lose a job And there are those who feel dead when they get afflicted by familial problems.. Who live with an abusive husband or wife.. and made their life a living hell.. All those I mentioned are not necessarily as dead as those whom heart died Yes I am talking about those are in immersed concern with worldly objectives Those who violate Allah’s sanctities abandon his religion and shun away from words of dacwah they are deaf and blind to anything except what is evil Those are whom the prophet PBUH told us they cant differentiate Halaal from Haraam So my dear nomad, brother, and sister… I am calling on myself and you all… to purify your heart And cleanse it from any passion that challenges what Allah commands, or disputes what He forbids. And always keep your heart alive.. Salaamu alikum
