Gebiley, The Somaliland's Political Battle Ground

Gebiley has proven its strategic position for the Somaliland politics after the dramatic score of the voters registration.

 

More than 100,000 registered in the place, the shock as all over around about the totally unexpected outcome of the registration. Since then, the city has been booming with politicians both from the government and opposition parties each one trying to get more votes in the coming elections.

 

Here are some photos taken last week when some politicians from the government and opposition perties visited the city for what is believed to have a political purpose rather than just a visit:
