Castro Posted December 28, 2006 Interviewed on Al-Jazeera, Sheikh Sharif has officially declared that the Islamic Courts have vacated the city of Muqdisho. He said that the decision to withdraw was done after the Ethiopians surrounded the city and the Courts were not going to allow the great city to be shelled into complete destruction.
