Qudhac Posted November 10, 2010 this about time something was done about this issue, bacause the number of people streaming into large cities and town from neibouring countries is getting out of control. especially from somalia and ethopia. they all seeking better lives which is enough, but somaliland doesnt have the resources to deal with this number of people in need. Che -Guevara Posted November 10, 2010 This is funny and sad at the same time. On the bright side, the stream of Oromo into northern Somalia might bring much needed diversity since there will be demographic shift sooner or later

Jacaylbaro Posted November 10, 2010 Refugees are basically a problem to any country regardless of their origin. If not properly managed they will be an obstacle to that country. I'm glad the new government is realizing that now.
Che -Guevara Posted November 10, 2010 ^What obstacle....? Do even know how many Somalis are in "your" country?

You need to look up the meaning of the word refugee, saaxib. Warya, xaasid qalbi madow ha noqonin dee. These are Somali people living in SOMALI LANDS. Politics is one thing, nonsense another. If every last Somali would want to come to SL they should be more than welcome (as long as they are peaceful).

Jacaylbaro Posted November 10, 2010 It just needs a good management. Refugees are everywhere and apart from politics and qabyaalad (as some already put) refugees will benefit a lot if properly managed. Even those from Somalia will be eligible to get the Somaliland citizenship if they live here 10 consecutive years.
