You mean those lazy odayaal who's only priority are qaat sessions? Those honorable ones!?!? All they have done is grow fat in their comfy villas while their people struggle day-to-day. I suggest you have more faith in real elders then these pseudo political elders and born again afweyn loyalists. all somalilanders support the action taking by their goverment regarding buurmadow What would you call those demontrations against the imprisonment of Buurmadow and resulting arrests by riyaale henchmen in places like burco and ceelafweyn? This is a 'nation'-divided,--all that needs to be answered is who will fire the first shot? All you guys have to do is ASK,--and Puntland forces will come and save you from your nightmare BN
Kowneyn Posted February 14, 2004 Most sincere Somalilanders are saddened and baffled by what has become of their noble struggle. In what unfortunate twist of fate did Rayaale a war criminal become the law and the ruler over his victims, while revered peacemakers and elders are abused and mistreated as traitors? When did a shirtless goon like nasir become the mouthpiece for our holy struggle? Kowneyn

Liqaye Posted February 14, 2004 Kowneyn, i guess you have seen the product of your revolution in nasir , clannist sentiment, but then again how can one believe in the division of a people with one culture, religion and language can occur on any other lines. Nasir is more honest, nothing holy about his propoganda.
General Duke Posted February 14, 2004 Kowneyn, Nothing against Somaliland or its struggle, in fact all Somali's struggled against the tyrant and all Somali's suffered. Now we have men left from the former regime starting a war between Puntland and Somaliland in which they have calculated that they will win and the Somali people will lose. Why arrest the Suldan? why start warmongering now? and why not open dialogue through the various channel? Riyaale has a lot to answer for, his past is one and his actions today is another. Kowneyn Posted February 14, 2004 Liqaye, The struggle was holy but the jury is still out on its outcome. Abu-Amaar: I have seen the taunting and vexing of the two camps on this site. Its fun and games to you guys but people may be dying soon. Kowneyn

military Posted February 17, 2004 NASIR IS RIGHT IN SAYING BUURMADOW WAS RIGHTFULLY ARRESTED BECAUSE HE IS A TRAITOR BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER HE IS A BOQOR OF A CLAN WHO'S DUTIES ARE NOTHING BUT TO KEEP THE PEACE WITHIN THAT CLAN AND SORT OUT PROBLEMS WITHIIN THAT SPECIFIC CLAN E.T.C AS ANY SORT OF TRADITIONAL SOMALI CLAN LEADER DOES, AND NOT A POLITICIAN WHO'S JOB IS TO BE INVOLVED THE POLITICS OF THE COUNTRY.HE THEREFORE WENT TOO FAR BY HAVING LINKS TO A MAN WHO IS SEEN AS A THREAT TO SOMALILAND PEACE AND WANTS TO WAGE WAR ON SOMALILAND FOR MERE GREED AND POWER.I ALSO WANTED TO INFORM YOU OF THIS MAN WHO YOU ALL SAY IS A PEACE LOVING IS THE SAME MAN WHO ALONG WITH A FEW MEN IN A LANDCRUISER FIRED BULLETS AT MY FRIEND IN BERBERA IN 2000. Kowneyn Posted February 17, 2004 MILITARY: COULD THE BOQOR BE ARRESTED IN CEEL AFWEYN? THE ANSWER IS NO BECAUSE THERE IS HARDLY ANY GOVERNMENT PRESENT THERE. IN OTHERWORDS, HE WAS AN AMBASSADOR OF HIS PEOPLE WHILE IN HARGAYSA, THAT ALONE SHOULD HAVE MADE HIM IMMUNE TO THE COWARDLY ACTIONS OF RAYAALE AND HIS CRONIES. AS FAR AS POLITICS IS CONCERNED ITS CLEAR THAT IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT WHO ASKED HIM FOR HIS HELP. MORE IMPORTANTLY, AS A VOICE OF HIS PEOPLE HE HAS A RIGHT TO HIS OPINION AND HE HAS A RIGHT TO OPPOSE THE WAR IN A DEMOCRATIC STATE, WHICH IS WHAT WE CLAIM TO BE. THE ARREST OF BUUR MADOW BECAUSE OF HIS PROPOSAL OF A PEACE INITIATIVE IS A NEW LOW FOR A GOVERNMENT FILLED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY HAUNTED BY THEIR OLD RECORD OF CRIMES. WE HOPE THAT IT WILL NOT BE A BEGINNING OF A DARK CHAPTER AND A REVERSAL TOO THE OLD WAYS. KOWNEYN
Saxardiid Posted February 18, 2004 Boqor Boormadow is one of few good men in Horn of Africa who sacrifice his life to safe others. surely he deserves medel of honour for his tireless peace activities and doesn't deserve in to be lock away in that jail. Afrikaay magacaa ba'a ninka ugu qiimaha badan bey iska curyaamisaa. I hope somaliland government listens plea from all corners of the world to release that honorable man.
