jabarti Posted March 21, 2003 Asalamu Aleikum, So far so good, we haven't seen yet what the Americans and British would have liked to see, mass surrender of Iraqi troops or capturing Basra and Baghdad easily without any serious resistance. I am sure Iraqis specially REPUBLICAN GUARDS are ready to defend their land from aggressors and crusaders who want to control the oil, the land and the people of Iraq, but what they don’t know is the history of Iraq and its people. We Somalis on the other hand are the only country in the Muslim world beside Afghanistan who defeated two so-called super powers namely British and American. Sayid Mohamed Abdulle Hassan and our Brothers and sisters, (young and old, male and female) in Mogadishu have shown how tough and brave we Somalis are when it comes to battlefield, we have shown that we are people with no fear of death, people who belief in Allah and the hearafter. Everyone will die once, therefore, we live in pride and we die in dignity rather than humiliation. I am sure that Allah will help the Iraqis with his unseen armies of Angels as he promised for the Muslims; also, I am sure that they will defeat the enemy of humanity (British and American). Having said that we Muslims every where have a responsibility and that’s to pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq, also we should show our solidarity by attending and participating Anti-War demonstrations after all this is religious duty and human duty. Anti-War campaign is Universal cause it’s something that unifies all humanity, all peace loving people and braves around the world. Our beloved prophet Mohamed (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) once said that if someone sees "Munkar" (obscene) outrageous act then he/she should stop it by action, if not by word, if not by heart and that he said is the lowest level of faith "Iman"). Atleast we should have that lowest level of Iman. Lets show to Allah that we have faith in him, lets show to our brothers and sisters in Iraq that we are with them and lets show the world that our feeling and thought are with our brothers and sisters in Iraq, not the aggressors and invaders. Finally, remember the prayer is the best weapons we have in our disposals in this moment let’s use it may Allah accept our prayers. Aamin. God bless Iraq, Jabarti. Fabregas Posted February 22, 2008 That was in 2003. 2008 now, and Iraq is a failed state. It will or has already become another Somalia. Tribal warlords are running various parts of the country and fight over vital resources. Their case is excerbated by the fact that they also have religous warlords(Shia, Sunni) and the curse of the black of the gold means that one primitive warlord can generate million by selling of Oil to highest bidders. The neighbouring states such as Saudia, Iran and Israel are all meddling in Iraq's affairs as the state institution is so weak. Very sad days for Baghadad indeed!
