Liberation of 'Western Somaliland' behind the declartion of Somaliland

I know this can be a shocking title to you but bare with me.

 

Under the Military junta the main political agenda was liberating O.gadenia - somehow NFD didn't get that much attention but that is another subject- from Ethiopia, the reasons was that people should have the right of self determination even if they didn't want to join Somalia - like the case of Djibouti-.

 

The theory was that a region has the right to secede from its country if the people want so, without any respect to that country- in this case ethiopia- sovereignty, and that people don't choose to secede out of thin air but after being systematically marginalized and discriminated.

 

from this point of view Somaliland has every right to do so.

 

what is your opinion and please do keep it clean for your own sake
