Fiqikhayre Posted December 21, 2006 Xiin obviously you being someone who is alert, Can you please say how compatible Hassan Dahir's drivel compare's to Qaadisiyas victory claim and for clarification that's what Dahir Aweys said today: He said: "This was not full scale war. The fighting was a small incident between the Islamic courts and the Ethiopians, not between us and the government." Surely something must click in your head as clearly the two sources from the clan courts controdict each other to the full! 1. It wasn't a 'full-scale war' and a 'small incident' between the clan courts and allegedly Ethiopia but somehow they managed to capture the two biggest miliatry camps for the governmnet's troops in Dayuunay and Manaas and allegedly war near Hussain Aidids house in the meat market of Baidoa? 2. They're not at war with the TFG but Ethiopia but have captured a small part of Baidoa (animal market and Hussain Aidid's house) plus they report Salaad Jeele, Geedi and Aydid have fled the city! Surely when they capture parts of the town and the biggest miliatary compounds they must be at war with the TFG as they're advancing towards Baidoa in fact they're in Baidao Thirdly 'We want peace talks to resume' and we're in Baidoa adeer don't go hand in hand! Logic-wise how is it possible Xiin? Small incident, no war with the government and we captured the miliatary headquarters and seat of the TFG [edited*]however we want talks to resume answer please cohorrently if you may! [edited*] Once you have the upperhand in the war you don't sit down to negotiate otherwise what have you fought for. That would be a humiliation and something not acceptable to their soldiers! 'Yes alright thank you very much for your efforts and the many people that died in capturing parts of the city of Baidoa, but boys come out of it right now as talks are going to resume!, that's laughable and you aswell as me know it. Totally unrealistic and unlogic!
General Duke Posted December 21, 2006 ^^^Though from Shabbele, there was heavy clashes last night, now everything is quite in Danuunaye and they go even to say the TFG claims to be winning... Something smells fishy..
xiinfaniin Posted December 21, 2006 Aw Yusuf, I cant do analysis on a raw data! Sorry saaxiib! I happen to beleive that the whole thing is not as big as reported. Lets wait and see. tommorow is not afar adeer.
Fiqikhayre Posted December 21, 2006 Adeer they said that they have captured Dayuunay and are in the outskirts of Baidoa, in fact near Hussain Aidids house! They also said Gheedi, Jeele and Aydid have left Baidoa because courts are going to capture the whole city very soon! But on the other hand they want for talks to resume. How can winning army that is victories and captured the biggest city of the enemy say 'Oh negotiations now'! That's not feasible, either you finish your enemy off or not, no need to stop at the animal market of Baidoa or at Hussain Aydid's house, you go all the way! BTW that's not a small incident if you're in Baidoa itself!
General Duke Posted December 21, 2006 Shiekh talk is indeed cheap. Now they are defending MOODE-MOODE. which is where they started from. Latest news they lost Bur-Hakabo and there is fighting in Diinsoor.
N.O.R.F Posted December 21, 2006 ICU control much of the south and you guys are refering to small battles here and there. ICU have been victors for the past 6 months in case you havnt noticed. Now the question is can they take Baydabo and the surrounding or will they settle for talks. They are the ones who control the south and not the TFG. No waxa la yidi threads/posts will determine the outcome. We all just have to wait and see.
General Duke Posted December 21, 2006 ^^lol They are not the victors in this engagement. The firts against the TFG and Yusuf in particular. This is the first time they attacked from Bur-Hakabo, Diinsoor and Qansah-dheere and the first time they have been pushed back. As for these towns saxib the road they are defending in Bur-Hakabo leads to Balidoogle and control of lower Shabbele and even Mogadishu.. Thus it is significant. Libaax-Sankataabte Posted December 21, 2006 Ilaahayoow ummadaada kala qabooji. It is tough to get a credible news xiinoow. But onething that usually indicates "victory" in this Somali saga, is the actual capture of towns and if these towns, including Baidoa, are controlled by the ICU, it will come out very soon and there will be no doubt. Let us give these claims and counter claims a couple of days and things may actually become much clearer.
