Thankful Posted June 12, 2008 Stoic, How can you even compare yourself to Ethiopia or Eritrea? Those nations co-exist with muslims, christrians, jews and those with no religon. Not to mention the many different languages and ethnic groups. Somaliland basically broke away as a tribal entity, it is made up of one major tribe(even though it's president is from a minority one, he must answer to elders of the majority). When Puntland in some sense did that it was more peaceful then it is now and we know where lascaanod stood. Now that it is supporting the TFG it has develop some problems. Somali land is peaceful for Somali standards but please there's not impressive of a tribe breaking away!

Somaliland currently maintains good relationship with Ethiopia along the border between the two countries. The only problem that Somaliland has is in the eastern part of the country where there has been clashed with Somalia. In the recent months, that dispute has decreased and the tension is going down. Fabregas Posted June 12, 2008 Originally posted by nuune: lol, wots wrong with dat, JB is telling da truth, Somaliland is not burning Well, actually, that's not what made me laugh, in particular. It was funny how He equated the farax clashes with technicals around Puntland/Somaliland as a war between two states: Somaliland and Somaliland! As well equating the clashes between proper Nations(Ethiopia, Eritrea, et al) with real armies and airforces in the Horn to the technical foguht wars in Puntland/Somaliland! On a serious note, there is one common demoninator between all these wars and tussles: white man borders and poorly marked border( aFRICANs wILL die for them)
