Conference venue in capital Mogadishu attacked

(SomaliNet) One police officer and two civilians were wounded in grenade attack, which happened near the venue of the national reconciliation in north of the Somalia capital on Wednesday night, residents said.

 

Addawe Hassan, a local witness told Somalinet that an insurgent has thrown a grenade bomb at the government soldiers guarding the conference venue around 7:30pm local time.

 

Among the victims were two women who were walking alongside the road.

 

The soldiers opened fire in response to the attack and began searching who was behind the latest attack.

 

The local insurgents continue hit and run attacks on the government positions with the civilians became the victims for the attacks from both rival sides.
