Kamaavi Posted May 1, 2010 Deaths in Mogadishu mosque blast At least 10 people have reportedly been killed in two explosions in the centre of the Somali capital, Mogadishu. Al Jazeera has learned that two successive blasts were heard inside the Bakara market mosque on Saturday. They were apparently targeting a leader of the anti-government group al-Shabab, who was praying in the mosque. An al-Shabab official told the news agency AFP that the target was Sheikh Fuad Mohamed Khalaf, better known as Fuad Shongole, who is the group's head of mobilisation. It was unclear whether Shongole was injured and there was no immediate claim of responsibility. Anti-government fighters control much of Mogadishu and have been trying to topple the fragile government for three years. Somalia has not had an effective government for nearly 20 years

Mr. Somalia Posted May 1, 2010 ^ Those fools thought they alone had a monopoly on killing people with bombs in Somalia. If every time Al Shabab used a road side bomb or carried out a suicide attack, the government retaliated by using the same strategy, and in return blooded their noses with their own same techniques, then these fools would have not gotten as cocky as they have become lately. I say, an eye for an eye: Every time they bomb a mosque, then the government must bomb their mosques. Every time they lay a bomb in areas under the government's control, then the government must in return plant bombs in the areas under Al Shabab's control. They assassinate government people, the TFG must assassinate in return Al Shabab people. Granted, this will lead to the deaths of many people, but so what? They would have died anyway. Only this time, they will die quicker, but what is guaranteed, is that, there will be a victor when all the dust settles, and the looser gets annihilated. This is the optimal end result that both Al Shabab and the TFG should pursue: To win and rule!
Resistance Posted May 1, 2010 ^ Is fools like you that deserve to die, how dare adovacate for more death. For your information the maj of the dead are innocent people who went to pray and may Allah grant them all Jannah inshallah. This is madness now and inshallah one day we Somalis will come to our senses.

The Zack Posted May 1, 2010 Inaa Lilaahi Wa inaa Ileyhi raajicuun, two entire lines of people praying for their Allah in Allah's house have been recklessly murdered and you guys have the guts to come here and cheer on their deaths? Your muslim-ness needs to be double-checked! Had you had a dot of iman in your heart you would've have been able to understand that it wasn't only shabaab members who where praying at that mosque but innocent fellow muslims. The mosque was located in the bakara market which means everybody can stop by to do their prayers. War ilaahay ka baqa!
