Qudhac Posted June 27, 2007 i bileieve the three large factory which include a cement factory underground coal factory and third which am not sure yet are set to cost 300M, or that what the government are saying atleast, which seems alot but then again Berbera really needs these large scale investments if it is set to compete other regional ports such as Djbouti and Asmara. Naxar Nugaaleed Posted June 27, 2007 Asmara is not a port, massawa is. Both massawa and berbera have been lacking, the only two ports working are port Jibuti and port Bosasso. As for these projects, it will make a lot of difference because the less we make at home rather then import, the better but thats if they take off and are not environmentally harmful. and what the hell a is a coal factory, it is a mine? AYOUB Posted June 27, 2007 Good news. Somaliland's lack of investors is/was one of the disadvantages of not being recognized and Berbera deserves this the most.
