xiinfaniin Posted July 29, 2009 ^^ @Santaaro Marx is one of my secret admirers. He is acting funny today though I forgive him, he is not an issue, never has been
MAXIMUS POWERS Posted July 29, 2009 I did admire you xinny. All that caravan rhetoric was good. For a long time, of all the southern Somali politics SOL poster you made sense. But now you ruined it, for a number of reason including that unnecessary outburst from the other post. You have shown your political inexperience by having an unnecessary outburst. You could have avoided it. In politics, you should never deliberately insult people or ruin your reputation. Your word is your bond. Take a leave from my book. I have never insulted people of SOL. I might need their votes in 10 years lol. Meany Xinny reminds me of Kramer racist outburst.
Chimera Posted July 29, 2009 I estimate S-land to have around 5 million people. Thing is, for all we know the Somali population could be 50 million or 5 million, no proper - real - census has ever been taken. Personal estimate world wide population is: 25 million. MAXIMUS POWERS Posted July 29, 2009 Not so sure about that Adam. What's your methodology. Somaliland: 3.5+ the SL govt census confirms this. South Somalia including puntland: 7.5+, UN stats. Worldwide: 12+ max. including somalis in OG, Kenya and the diaspora. 25 million is plain ridiculous.
xiinfaniin Posted July 29, 2009 I think Adam's is not far from the mark. One factor is population growth and the time it takes for it to double. If you go back in nineteen fifties or sixties Somalia's population estimate was more or less in the same neighborhood. That is what is really ridiculous. MAXIMUS POWERS Posted July 29, 2009 war, starvation, Child mortality, maternal mortality, poverty, diseases, food shortages etc severely limit population growth. Somalia ranks high amongst all these indicators.
