Ana_Juwa2 Posted May 3, 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/6619015.stm Piracy has been rampant in Somalia for many years, but stopped last year for several months under Islamist rule. Maritime officials fear that the recent hijackings may signal a resumption of lawlessness on the seas.
Peacenow Posted May 4, 2007 What is a boat from Finland doing in Somali waters? It is quite clear it is there to trawl for fish. Only last week, a Arab boat was stopped, doing the same thing. Taking Somali fish. Quite frankly, the people are entitiled to step inside this boat and take this people on. The press is out of line again. Sadly, this is what happens, there is no central government, so misinformation is painted against the country and no counter-claim against this.
