UZTAAD Posted November 12, 2009 the beggest internal threat of puntland is al iti haad. there is no doubt that al ithad orchestrated the latest assassinations and bombs directly or indirectly by helping other elements like al shabaab . Ali atihad is extremist wahaabi origination who are found throughout puntland. they are the biggest internal threat to puntland and all the sympathizer of alshabaab belong to this group. when Abdullahi yusuf was the president of puntland he knew how dangerous this group was and used to deal them with Iron hand but unfortunately president Faroole who is a banker with no experience of security affairs of the country started to appease them by appointing in some position in his government . Farole needs to take this steps to safeguard the security of the state 1. to improve the intelligent gathering mechanism reforming the structure and quality of PIS to infiltrate all the under ground religious fanatics in the state like al itihaad. 2.to stop islamist militia who are disgusting as refugees from souther Somalia by scutirising all refugees entering punland 3.to train puntland police how counter the terrorism and improve their quality. 4. to keep watch on the activities of the religous groups in their mosques , madrasas and all their gathering

UZTAAD Posted November 13, 2009 Xiin ,saacaddu halkaas kuma istagan it is still ticking contrary to your assumption I was mere mentioning the deferent approaches the two leaders have taken regarding to these above groups and it is fact , so would you agree or not that the puntland's alithaad may give birth another version of al shabab as their counterpart in the south did? xiinfaniin Posted November 13, 2009 ^^the fact you are still mentioning Al Itihad is a tastement that you are stuck in the politics of early ninties. Faroole has gotten right the formula for stability ...give all puntland stakeholders a platform to excel including the ones you called alitihad.
