MoonLight1 Posted September 2, 2009 I fear this will damage the good nature and harmony between somali and Djiboutian people specially if they see their boys being dragged on the streets of muqdisho.

Fabregas Posted September 2, 2009 NO. Djibouti is dancing with the demons and the devils of the dollars which are designed to create chaos and confusion. These days, the devils of the dollars are valued above the human lifes, mothers and children, a sad reckoning for the human race, this is indeed. I urge the Djibouti president to take into account the shared history and brotherhood of the throughbred Islamic, Somali and Djiboutian tribesmen and women of noble cushitic and Arabian origins, and not send mecenaries to Somalia. I also humbly urge them to send doctors, nurses and aid workers to ease the suffering of their fellow Islamic Somali tribesman and women of noble Cushitic and Arabian origins. Djibouti should also work to create peace in Somalia and not attempt to divide and disunite their brethren throughbred Islamic, Somali tribesmen and women of noble cushitic and Arabian origin, as they have been doing for the past year under the false trojan cheese caravan. Fabregas.

N.O.R.F Posted September 3, 2009 One minute they complain about AMISOM being 'foreign' and the next they don't want Djib boys down there. Will they also be seen as outsiders?? Might be a good move if they are to replace AMISOM.

Complicated Posted September 3, 2009 Originally posted by Jacaylbaro: In principle, they don't want anybody and they don't want each other ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Jacalybaro said it all. Somalis (and mostly the business people) are maintaining the ongoing status quo in order to keep an income generated from extortion, xaaraan dhac iyo qarbud but most of all they doing this in order to stay in a position that is advantageous to their masters in Addis/Washington DC/Riyadh/Tora Bora and god knows where, all that while still killing anything that stands their way (mostly the poor and the child soldiers). Abu-Salman Posted September 3, 2009 It is important to remember that Djibouti holds dear Somali territorial integrity and that its stance cost it repeated frictions with all its neighbours for almost two decades now. It seems also that the International Community (Arab League, EU etc) is fed up with anarchy and piracy and is thus now more committed to scale up the training of Somali security forces and officers (500 are now already in training in Djibouti): "Another contingent of 350 troops is to arrive in late September. In total, half a thousand soldiers belonging to Somali security forces will be trained in collaboration with the Djibouti authorities, on behalf of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG).Funding and salaries are provided by the Arab League, which will provide 18 million U.S. dollars, or three million per month for six months". (translated from ADI.dj) Of course, humanitarian issues are relegated to a a second position when insecurity rages; nevertheless, Djibouti recently organised its second sanitary evacuation of injuried Somalis brothers by aircraft (to cite just one example of many disinterested yet crucial intiatives of its own)...
