Jacaylbaro Posted January 27, 2009 Ethiopian Defense Force arrives Ethiopian border town The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF), which successfully accomplished its mission in Somalia, has arrived Ethiopian border town. Arriving at the border town, Dollo, the ENDF was accorded warm welcome by residents and administration bodies of the town, said public relations service with the ministry. Town Mayor, Usman Abdulnaser said at the occasion the return of the defense force with mission accomplished is a source of pride. Speaking about the force's journey from Mogadishu to Ethiopia, a defense force official said the journey was divided into two phases. ENDF has not encountered any problem so far, he added. The government of Ethiopian has said Ethiopia has achieved its prime mission of aborting the clear and present danger orchestrated and coordinated by group of fundamentalists and the government of Eritrea (Shaabia). The ENDF accomplished its mission by creating peaceful environment in Somalia for the benefit of Somalis and for the international community. It was reported that the sacrifice of the Ethiopian defense force to bring about peace in Somalia as per the request of the TFG of Somalia has won appreciation of peace-loving nations and TFG of Somalia. It is recalled that AU Commissioner for Peace and Security (AU/ PSC), Ramatane Lamamra recently said military bases in Mogadishu are now under full control of the TFG of Somalia and AU peacekeeping force following the pullout of Ethiopian Defense Force.
