Hussein Mohammed Farah Aided, Somalia's deputy prime minister, has told journalists that within the three days to come, the Africa peacekeepers would reach the country. His remarks came as at least 50 military trucks carrying Ethiopian soldiers supported by artillery and other types of weaponry left the capital Mogadishu on Tuesday morning. The top Ethiopian General, Seum Hagoss, said the departure of Ethiopian troops started today. "Starting today, we are leaving", he said. The Ethiopian departure from Somalia came after Ethiopian prime minister Males Zenawi stated early last week that his government was conclusive to withdraw the thousands of Ethiopian troops from war-torn country.
