Excellent news. Bossaso future is set up to be financial capital market of east-africa. Especially considering when the oil starts producing revenues which can be thrown into investment and other growth sectors inside puntland.

 

All in All the future of puntland is good and very prospective. We have a recognized state under federal somalia. Federal somalia is endorsed by the whole world therefore legally speaking all somalis will need to get in line with this policy sooner or later!!!

 

Lastly the hope lies in the oil, becuz the oil will open many doors for the state. Can you imagine rail-way projects, desalination plants, electricity grids, this will be all made possible once the revenue is there.

 

The foreign investment department is not doing quite bad also. Lootah group, oil-consortiums,al jabiri livestock deals, plus countless of domestic investors!!!

 

The future is bright as long as we keep the peace among ourselves and start building strong institutions which farole is doing to make sure the region can never be mismanaged again and all future leaders will have to follow guidelines and procedures!!!

bosaaso looks amazing , it is clearly the front runer of future capital city of somalia since mugdishu is no longer suited to remain the capital city of somalia due never ending violence. it time to change the capital in order to save the nation because if the capital city is changed , muqdishu will be irrelevent and the people will stop fighting over its control.

I loved bosasso, enjoyed every minute there. When I was in Dubai i'd try and find a ticket to get out, so I could spend my vacation Bosasso. Never had a boring moment in Bosasso. You'll meet Somalis from every corner, from NW to the very south, who have business and are living peacefully. You will see Arabs and East Indians and other Africans there to. The city so alive!

Bossaso does not need to be a capital, much like New York is not a capital city.

 

It needs more development, expanded port and the opening of the new airport. And a banking sector. It is the future..

General duke, the bossaso port and airport is being constructed by lootah group. $50 million dollars is going into that project. Which u can verify here!!!

The newly born companies will strive to develop, manage and operate the Bosaso Airport, Seaport and a Free-Trade Zone as well as co-manage state customs.

 

According to the agreement, a set of new companies will be established. The Bosaso Airport Company will have a mission to provide leading airport aero-ground services. It will initialy work to complete the Airport Complex towards international standards including its new 3.4 km runway, taxi and apron areas, main and auxiliary buildings and security perimeters.

 

The Bosaso Seaport Company shall have a mission to provide attractive seaport services by increasing berth depths and maneuvering capabilities, increasing the quayside by 400%, and establishing a prefab concrete block shoulder at sea to protect basin from swell. The Bosaso Free Trade Zone over 500,000 square metres shall improve logistic services and cost/performance to all merchants and traders alike.

 

Integratia Business Group, a subsidiary of Lootah Group has also signed a professional services agreement to co-manage Bosaso Customs for the coming 10 years and introduce best practices that will increase agility to material movement, improve merchant satisfaction and add to state earnings. On the onset, all the current business areas; laws, bylaws, policies, standards, regulatory, work processes, human capacity, financial and technologies, will be developed and set to meet the international standards for safety, security as well as boost of overall effectiveness and effciency.

Farole is the problem, he is putting all investments on hold and up for review to see if it is in the benefit of puntland, which really suprises me the most about him!!!

YES DUKE, Bosaso can develope in to major city like new york without being the capital , but the for the sake of the country we need to change the capital from Mugadishu to bososo, it can defenitely be great capotal city of the nation at least until things will go right in mugadishu because we have to move on the country can no longer hostage to mugdisho.
