BOB Posted January 14, 2005 Mogadishu - Four football fans watching a televised English Premier League match at a cinema in the Somali capital were killed overnight and nine others were wounded when a hand grenade exploded in the hall, the theatre manager said on Thursday. "The hall was packed with fans watching a match between Chelsea and Manchester United," said Abdullahi Musa, manager of the Bullohubey neighbourhood cinema in southern Mogadishu. He said that two of the wounded were in critical condition and that the identity and motive of the assailants were not known. Eyewitness Ahmed Mouhamoud, who was in the cinema watching the match, said he heard a loud noise but thought at first it was due to a generator malfunction. "We heard a big bang at about midnight," he said. "I thought a generator had exploded, but I later realised it was a grenade." Very Sad Indeed. Peace, Love & Unity.
