RedSea Posted July 19, 2008 Geeljire, SNM is distant memory in the past. Nothing more, nothing less. Offcourse there are some ex members who continue to participate in the politics but their armed wing was demoblized in '93. Some are abroad, some pursue their lives as civilians (majority). Their participation in politics are only limited to few such Siilaanyo and col. muse biixi, the current candidate for VP of kulmiye party. And perhaps some others I may not know about. But Somaliland isn't snm and vice versa.

Ibtisam Posted July 19, 2008 ^^^^LOL. From what I know SNM did not want to be a political entity or a different country. They were strongly against this. Most of them are too old to do anything or play any majory role in politics haada.
RedSea Posted July 19, 2008 ^Ibtisam, Excellent point. Did they forget Abdiraxman tuur? The last two Presidents of Somaliland were/are non SNM members.
