I always wondered whether Qadafi was an eccentric, a lunatic or a very clever dude. What do you think about him?

His fashion.

His all female body guards

His defiance towards the west when barked at and his rolling over when they grab the stick.

What do you think of the guy?

His eccentric alright, could be closely described as the offspring of Michael Jackson and Chuck Norris. I'd love to chat with him over a cup of tea. Just imagine all the war stories he might deliver, not to mention the security guards one can ogle at during his speech.

Malika

^^Easy Easy now, am sure he is better then some African thugs.. :D

This kinda sums him up for me:

"Man of faith and tradition, Muammar Al Qadhafi cannot be classified according to the criteria commonly admitted. If you search for him on the right you will find him on the left, since he preaches in many ways a renovation with the air of revolution. But if you look for him on the left you risk finding him on the right, because this sincere mystic is tied to more than one traditional value. It is not Qadhafi who is senseless; it is the terms, obsolete, and upon which are based the subjective judgements of foreign observers who are more interested in polemic than in the truth." - Prof. Francis Dessart.

[Looking on Qadhafi with tinted glasses ]

Another typical Afrikan leader who does not realize xiligii hoggaaminta la iska wareejin lahaa has come.

Yes, he is admirable when he tries to give the middle finger the powers that be currently, namely the Galbeedka. He however knows where his limits extend to.

Yes, he tries to portray himself as an essential middle man, who confuses the masses. Even his personal life is like that, including his dress style, which is a combination of Carab, Islaamic and Afrikaan attires, same as his policies, which Carabnimo, Islaamic and Africanism.

He is not eccentric. He enjoys the limelight when he likes to view himself and acts just as another fellow commoner, i.e. erecting his camp and staying in the camp during foreign summits infront of luxury five-star hotels, where other leaders salivate, to shame them perhaps.

His utopic political thoughts -- the merged notion and nation of 'Isratine' of Isra'iil and Falastiin, and a real union members in African Union (which itself is the fruit and a product of tireless efforts of his so far) come to mind -- clearly says a lot about him. He wants to define himself as an essential, philosophic middle man that takes no bullshuud from no one and no organization.

He is just a guy too much in love with himself and desperately trying to be a unique, almost a cult-like figure, thus making his country's flag being nothing but dark whole-green, Liibiya not having a real, written constitution, not having any official title [only a 'leader' and not president, prime minister, king, etc],

I've no problem with the man; in fact, I admire some of his policies, particularly the foreign ones. He should, however, know his time really has come. Leading a nation absolutely almost four decades is not acceptable or bearable in this fast changing world. Laakiin another Afrikan 'leader' maxaa laga sugaa xoog in loogu qaado ma'ahee?
