raadamiir Posted March 30, 2007 Mogadishu 29, March.07 ( Sh.M.Network) Heavy gun battles have restarted Thursday in the Somalia capital as the Ethiopian forces supported by tanks captured new areas in Mogadishu – this is in violation of the recent ceasefire in the city. The battles began around 5:30 am local time in two directions of the capital. The exchange of gun fire and heavy artilleries could be heard through out the Somalia Capital. There are no immediate casualties on the latest clashes. Witnesses told Shabelle radio there are casualties on the ground. The Ethiopian forces are spreading to the strongholds of the insurgent groups, particularly in northern parts of the capital in Somalia.
