Somalia: Islamists forces defected to the government

 

Somaliweyn Media Center (SMC)Islamic courts forces based in Bur-Hakaba, some 60km from Biadoa, where Somali’s ineffective government have been reported to defected to the government, as the Islamists denied the existence of such reports.

 

Reports from Baidoa say the government welcomed to Daynuney Military camp up to 150 militiamen escaped from the Islamists, it is first such move faces the powerful Islamists.

 

As reports said the defection of the militias came after confrontation between the Islamists and the local residents, because of the residents got

 

annoyed some the Islamists behaviors, the called as based tribalism.

The defected militias were new to the Islamists forces, other reports confirmed.

 

“There are no neither Islamists forces nor local residents militias defected to the government, these are groundless claims” Mustaf Muqtar Bulow, the commander of local resident forces, whom recently named as Sheikh Al-Badri, by the Islamists said.

 

“The government forces used to defect and join to the Islamists for lack of payments and misbehavior, but the Islamic forces never escape” he added, referring to the former government forces deserted to the Islamists.
