BOB Posted December 10, 2004 BARCELONA, Dec 10 (SW) - The magazine World Soccer has elected Ronaldinho as footballer of the year 2004. The Brazilian received 28,6 percent of the votes, six more than his main opponent. The Barcelona playmaker has been a key player for FC Barcelona this year. The Catalans experienced a sensational comeback in the Primera Division to take the second place in June, and are comfortably leading in the current edition of La Liga. Arsenal's French striker Thierry Henry got 22,2 percent of the votes, while Ukranian AC Milan forward Andriy Shevchenko takes the third place. I wonder if this will influence the actual results come December 20th:rolleyes: .

Viking Posted December 10, 2004 Although I was hoping Sheva would get it, Dinho is indeed worthy of the award.

BOB Posted December 14, 2004 Well, Shevchenko might have won the Ballon D'or but in my eyes the best striker on the planet is none other than Thierry Henry and it is a crying shame that he has to play second fiddle to the likes oh Shevchenko and Deco to all people. Peace,Love & Unity.

NGONGE Posted December 14, 2004 I agree that Henry is a great player. There isn’t much difference between him and Ronaldinhio. Well, not much difference apart from the fact that the Brazilian is better, more entertaining and is not going to become rubbish when he loses his pace. Other than that, they’re really equal in talent.

Northerner, Conspiracy has nothing to do with it mate, just expressing my opinion that's all, is that a crime? by the way, I enjoyed watching Liverpool show the whole world why they haven't won the league in what? 15 years? Ooh it was a wonderful free kick by Gerrard but too bad he seems to be playing for the WRONG TEAM. Well done Lomana Tresor Lua Lua. Peace, Love & Unity. Last night was poor result but I’m still over the moon from last week so I didn’t really care much. Yes we lost a goal in the last minute, who hasn’t at anfield lately?????
