Juje Posted November 4, 2008 Back in 1988 there was something called Jaaliyaada Reer Hargeysa donating medicine and food to the regime then in assiting the people who were suffering in the civil war in Waqooyi Galbeed. There is no difference between that pathetic display of that day and that of today. Jaaliyaada reer Mogadishu action should not be publicised in a manner that looks like they are trying to avert criticism and blame for the crimes committed by individuals who are S/landers. All S/landers in SOL should recognise and accept the brutal and cowardly act was committed by their brethens and none else. Anything else is just jive dancing. Jacaylbaro Posted November 4, 2008 There was no such thing called Jaaliyaada Reer Hargeysa donating medicine and food to the regime ?? come on .....
Juje Posted November 4, 2008 JB hada ma dhaletey.....starting from Jirde and sons to any S/lander who had business were donating to Barre's funds into alleged aid for people affected by the civilwar amid the SNM and the Barre regime. Not mentioning that both Riyaale and honourable Cigaal were tooting, in the case of Riyaale - working loyaly , for Barre's regime. But in reality the funds were for funding troops and logistics against the SNM. That aside why highlight donation of Jaaliyada reer Mogadishu - where is that of Puntland, Reer Gedo, Kismayo, Galmudug and the rest. Or is the implication that they are not guilty through association.

Jacaylbaro Posted November 4, 2008 Juje, you're just assuming sxb. There is no single shilling donated to Siad Barre at the time in the name of Jaaliyadda Hargeisa. Can't speak of Jirde Hussein as he is one single person.
NGONGE Posted November 4, 2008 ^^ I think most reasonable people know that this bombing changes nothing. Somaliland had no problem with the people of the Somali capital before and they are unlikely to have a problem with them now. Most (reasonable people) realise who Al Shabab are and that they do not come from one single region or place. This looks like a PR exercise and it does make sense under the circumstances. But it is a mere breadcrumb when compared to the feast of problems in the Somali kitchen.
