Qandalawi Posted October 23, 2010 Aside the name Siyad Barre (AUN), how on earth can one compare the rule of a military dictator that imprisoned, tortured and killed thousands of opponents, discontinued and banned all forms of political opposition, forced the nation including school children to sing praisal songs(which sadly some in here wrote some of the songs in an ironic way) for him, to a multi-party democracy that allowed opposition groups to speak, that did not imprison, torture or kill anyone because of their polical affilition. Yes, one might argue there was corruption, nepotism or what have you in the 60's but there is no way that is comperable to the Junta.
Fiqikhayre Posted October 29, 2010 I forgot that I was responsible for sending out the automated October message from the Saudi King. Although a couple of days late but alas it still October. Belated October greetings from the Saudi King.
