PM Geedi cals for a meeting on the 1 July of the cabinet. A landmark day as it will be the 45 year of the independence of Somalia and the fisrt meeting of cabinet in Somalia... What do the warlords do they react by calling a meeting of MP's on the 2 July.. Shame really cause they had all this time in Mogadishu and many meetings. What have they achieved NOTHING...

These warlords turned ministers have made themselves clear, they don't want no governement. Everyone is just waiting for a showdown and whoever wins the war gets to rule Somalia for probably another 20 years or so

^^^ Counterflow, these warlords and MP's and even Sharrif do not all have the same interest. They came together oout of desperation. Some wanted posts, other will lose power and Sharif just follows Qaynyares orders. How ever it is clear if they had the muscle they would ahve invaded Jowhar, attacked the new Governor of Banadir, or the PM when he came. See as highlighted above they are trying to stall the government and then say, Abdullahi is wasting time. Their main tactic is to create as many roadblocks as they can and then wait on the outcome. If things fail they take credit in stopping the "Puntland" president. If they lose then they will negotiate a deal which will safe them face.

 

War is a big word when the peaces coem together they will not present much of a challange. The monster they created for themselves in Nairobi. The man they hailed as leader, the PM they accepted will put them away...

The only people I see or hear talk about wars or a showdown are A/Y supporters. The rest of somalis are either indifferent and wrote off A/Y as another loser, or they are active in ensuring the Old man doesn't get anywhere by playing and beating him to his mindless, visionless, Mudug-style-hubris dirty politics.

 

Anyhow, goormaa laga tagey warka ah in nin madax soomaali u noqdo xataa hal sano waaba labaatan sanee? We are doomed to this fate of no progress as long the likes of some up in here are plenty in somalia. Are you talking about the Somali's in puntland who are the backbone of the President? Or maybe the ones in Xamar who suffer from the psomise of your leaders [roadblocks] and the lies of clan dominanace and Ethiopia. My friend the people of Somalia await their government, hold their breath for security and change and do not want this situations in which you so evidently are proud of.

 

Somalia is the poorest country on earth, its once beautiful capital is destroyed. This government is hope and insha AAlah will work.

Xoogsade, no body in their right mind would advocate another senseless civil war.

only these Yeey cheerleaders who are now living some kind of outlandish illusion. They are counting on Ethiopian troops marching into Mogadishu and hoping coronations of Yeey as the De facto ruler of Somalia.

 

Every rational Somali have already written off Yeey as you said. People are now re-thinking of other alternative ways to solve this clannish warlordism and its inevitable continous stalemate.

 

we need to empower civil societies and form progressive organizations free of the clan politics and alliance.

 

how long we have to wait warlords and illiterate clan imposters for solution? thier time is up. Yeey is the epitome of all that is wrong with clan politics and warlordism. Thanks to Allah that his days in this world are numbered.
