Taako Man Posted March 14, 2007 Jimcaale The egyptians occupied parts of Somalia proper. You think they are doing us a service in "ARABNIMO". Everybody has their interest. No doubt Egypt and Ethiopia have their interest. The question is what does Egypt want from Puntland, when they supported financially and militarily provided to the ICU. Dhubad. Posted March 14, 2007 ^What is the Ethiopian interest in Somalia? I thought Ethiopia has no interest Somalia and purely intervened for humanitarian reasons...
Taako Man Posted March 14, 2007 ^ Ofcourse Ethiopia doesn't want a Somalia in which you have fake wadaads screaming 'we will celebrate in Addis Ababa'. 'We will conquer Ethiopia'. Do you think any nation in the world would sit back and relax? Do you think England would watch idle if "DEFENSE MINISTER" of France said we will take London? Give me a break. Dhubad. Posted March 14, 2007 ^You making it as if the Ethiopian interest in Somalia started when the UIC took over Mogadishu. What about the meddling business that went on before?
Taako Man Posted March 14, 2007 ^ What about the meddling business of Eritrea, Djibouti and the Arab countries who arm different groups? Ofcourse Ethiopia has her interest. Do you expect them to sit idle and watch as some entity takes jabs at them and says they are going to celebrate eid in Addis Ababa? Come on man. Nobody is going to sit with their hands between their legs.

Dhubad. Posted March 14, 2007 ^^Duqa, I just want you admit that they had interest in Somalia way before these Wadaado took over. At least you are admitting there was some sort of interest unlike your comrades who would like to persuade us otherwise.
Taako Man Posted March 14, 2007 ^ What is there not to admit? Siyad Barre's regime had an interest in the affairs of Ethiopia. It helped install Zenawi. Everybody is interest driven. The line draws when two people/groups have common interest.

General Duke Posted March 14, 2007 Taako is right. Abwan as ever makes some snide comments, the tension in Mogadishu will soon end, just like how the clown courts ended.
Jacpher Posted March 15, 2007 The egyptians occupied parts of Somalia proper. You think they are doing us a service in "ARABNIMO". Everybody has their interest. No doubt Egypt and Ethiopia have their interest. The question is what does Egypt want from Puntland, when they supported financially and militarily provided to the ICU. Taako, ancient Egyptians not Tigranians called the place the Land of Punt and Ethiopian troops are not in Gaalkacyo to boost our Soomaalinimo. I don't get how you could campare the two interms of interest. Obviously Amxaaro wants what Egypt doesn't. Egypt has much better name, history & rich tradition than Ethiopia, one of the poorest in the region. Masar is not currently involved in Somalia politically and millitarly and it doesn't have its foreign minister sneaking in and out at will. Actually, Somali culture, tradition and religion identifies more with masaaridaad buufiska ka qabtid than Amxaarada kufsada dumarkaaga. If your worries are genuine, it should be with those who offered endless helpd to bomb your airports and have been meddling your internal affairs for the past sixteen years.
