Jacaylbaro Posted November 3, 2009 The late Colonel Osman Yusuf Nur who lost his life in a terrorist attack in Las Anod on Sunday, November 1st was a fighter against terrorism. Col. Osman Yusuf died doing his job, a brave man, he went to investigate the first blast and was subsequently killed in a second blast orchestrated by cowards who then slinked back to their nest of vipers. But, these cowards forgot one important thing, the people of Somaliland stand firm against terrorism. Somaliland is strong enough to withstand the attacks of terrorism and defeat it. Somaliland will not capitulate to terrorism and those who practice terrorism shall not prevail. Somaliland´s struggle for sovereignty has seen the nation through many difficult times, and strength of its people will not allow an act of terrorism to deflect the country from its path to democracy, good governance and international recognition. Not a single act of terrorism will bring about the desired goal by its practitioners, and the recent attack in Las Anod will only further strengthen the resolve of the people of Somaliland towards their stated goals of independence and security. It is imperative that the people and government of Somaliland remain vigilant, for no terrorist can succeed without disharmony and instability. Let us be assured that Somalilanders will maintain the peace and security in the country, and shall apprehend and bring to justice those who perpetrated the attack in Las Anod, and pledge to continue on our path to democracy, good governance and international recognition. It is paramount that the people and the government of Somaliland stand united against terrorism. Terrorism will not delay democracy, nor will its atrocities go unpunished. Whilst we convey our condolences to those grieving for the victim, Colonel Osman Yusuf Nur, let us make sure to condemn this act of blatant terrorism and make it clear to the world that Somaliland stands firmly against terrorism and those who practice it. who-me Posted November 3, 2009 ^ Popping this guy's name here and there and then discussing the cause he died for, does not help the relatives of this individual who happen to be SOL member. You are just going to aggravate their pain by letting others object your nonsense.

Cowke Posted November 4, 2009 Died serving his nation? Lol!!! If that is the case, then you better tell hargeisa that jijigga, gashamo and alot of areas in ethiopia used to be once apart of "british-somaliland protectorate". Lol. Anyways I am not going to totally dissect The man had no business being there. Anyways illahi ha u naxaristo. I will let the dead rest in peace, but don't use the dead as a propaganda tool because the counter-rebuttal will be applied just as swiftly to debunk your pre-posterous claims and shown to be a liar. Jibreel Posted November 5, 2009 Alla ya Raxma to the Victim.May Allah forgive his sins and bless him and his family with the mercy and blessings they and we need. My reply is to Axmed Khayre.Mr Khayre, please do try to understand what it is that you are trying to tell or rather inform your readers. Let the dead be and should you eulogize them, honor them in a manner that befits them best. Instead, preaching about democracy and more of the disunity that haunts us all serves no one's interests . Muslims have no need of democracy and they do not need to defend and die for something that exits not in their vocabulary . Jibreel.
