No One Can Hush The Voice of SSC People-

LASANOD ONLINE:- Since time immemorial, the Somali **** tribe to the north have been seeking expansion eastward and gradually encroached on the territory of Sool, Sanag and Cayn (SSC).

 

In 2004, the tribal militia of the north have occupied large tracts of land belonging to SSC. These included the towns of Yagori and Adhi Caddeeye. On October 15, 2007, the **** tribal militia have occupied Las Anod city, the capital of SSC region and still continue to occupy it. Their main mission is to seize the land and exile its local rightful owners.

 

The ruling party in Hargeisa as well as the opposition leaders are led by men of darkened vision. They did not learn from history. That is why they are repeating the mistakes and failures of the past. They all have unbridled lust to dominate SSC land at any price. They are so mischievous and mislead their people. They had better provide their people with the basic wants instead of spending much money on the war in SSC.

 

With all the persuasion in their command, SSC traditional leaders and politicians have tried to convince and persuade the invaders from the north to leave SSC territory. But unfortunately their demands fell on deaf ears. This is because the northern invaders have no regard for the legitimate wishes and public opinion of SSC people.

 

The SSC people cannot give up their homeland and become fugitives around the world. They want to preserve their independence and identity like other peoples. They want to be masters of their destiny and lay the foundation for a new SSC. The SSC people are now in earnest and their blood is up. They are now uncompromising and irresistible. The SSC people are superior in courage and patriotism. SSC is the land of great horsemen and great poets like Sayid Muhammad, Ali Dhuux and Ismail Mire.

 

The SSC people are not war mongers like their neighbors to the north. The SSC people are ready and willing to have peaceful relations and cooperation with the northern tribes. This is because the two peoples are bound by many ties of intermarriages, trade and neighborliness. The damage caused by the northerners can be repaired, the conflict solved, and situation fixed if they peacefully leave SSC territory. Then the two sides can come together as equals in a meeting and discuss future relations between them.
