President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, was vilified by a segment of Somali society led by the "Mogadishu Society" and by the fake religious groups. After winning a clean election contested by all his contemporaries including Abdiqasin, Cadowe and others, his adversaries waged a never ending and at times meaningless propaganda war attacking his person, his clan, his regions and even claiming he was “non Muslim”, “Murtid” and an “Ethiopian puppet”.

 

Those who did not want a national Somali government, the fake religious groups championed by “Shiekh” Sharif Amir of Al Shabaab, Ahlu Jihad leading the Abu Hebels into the righteous religious war against Addis Ababa and its lackeys.

 

This group was joined by the “Mogadishu society” led by Ahmed Diriye Ali and powet Abshir Bacadle, and they were there to defend the clan interest against Yusuf & his Puntlanders.

 

The other group who added fuel to the fire were the secessionists who obviously had much to lose if Yusuf tamed the south, they made repeated attacks against his person and even invaded parts of SOOL as the Puntland trrops were incorporated into the national army stationed in the south.

 

It’s a historic fact that Yusuf defeated all these groups, exiled Sharif to his hotel in Asmara, rounded up and arrested Ahmed Diriye and captured the country as a whole. In his time as President, Yusuf visited, Puntland, Beledweyne, Jowhar, Baidoa, and resided in Mogadishu. Unlike Sharif hotel who has managed to visit the airport under AMISOM protection.

 

Today we have Ethiopian troops in Beledweyne, Mogadishu is burning as we speak, thousands have died since January 2009. There is no national government in control to speak of. The Djibouti “peace caravan” has been found put as nothing but a fraud and a money making scheme for Walid Abdala & his criminal friends. That Sharif Hotel even signed away Somalia’s sea to Kenya and is still defending that policy even after the Parliament wholeheartedly rejected it.

The actions of Sharif nor the actions of any individual in the future can not change the dark 30 years of treachery.

 

1978: Launched from Ethiopia a failed coup d'etat.

 

1978: Created the first clan-based Jabhad SSDF that would be an Ethiopian-supported faction. The predecessor of the current factions that are supported by Ethiopia.

 

1978-1982: Launched several attacks on Somali soil from Ethiopia

 

1982-1984: Invaded Somali cities/towns on top of Ethiopian tanks.

 

1992-1998: Defeated Al itixiad and his opponent Jamac Ali Jamac with Ethiopian military support.

 

 

We can safely say that the current shamefull treachery many Somali warlords engage in are all inspired by the famoust treachery of A.Yusuf.

 

A.Yusuf is a true trendsetter,

 

-He engaged in national treason at a time all Somalis could not imagine such thing was possible.

-He used Ethiopian army for his selfish warlord goals: his war with Al itixiad in Bari, his war with Jamac ali Jamac post 2002

-He became president-on-paper with Ethiopian support.

-He spearheaded the invasion and occupation of Somalia by Ethiopia.

- He was the first Somali who called himself ''president'' and was guarded in Villa Somalia by Ethiopians, who also occupied ministery of defence and all key locations in Somalia.

 

If A.Yusuf was executed in 1978, Somalia's history would have went differently. No more clan-based Jabhado, no more warlords who would use Ethiopian army to achieve their selfish political goals.

My main target here is the fake religious group; today Beledweyne a small town had to be liberated by Ethiopia because Sharif Hotel could not muster enough men.

A man who is dead more worth to Somalia than alive.

 

A man who should have been executed in 1978 for his National Treason. Somalia's history surely would have been different.

A.Yusuf was a traitor in 1978, 2008, and he will die as a Traitor who left behind a 30 year legacy of treachery.

Yusuf was right and Somalia followed

 

1. When as a Youth he led Somali armies to defend the nation both in 1964 & as Colonel in 1978.

 

2. When he fought aganst the silly tyrant Siyad Barre, long before the SNM & USC were brave enough.

 

3. When as leader of North East he defeated Aydeed's USC militias and halted their progress.

 

4. He was right to sign the peace agreement between SSDF & USC that ended the war in Mudug.

 

5. When he founded the state of Puntland, and Somali's started copying him.

 

The man set trends and Somalia always was a step behind, today happless Sharif Ahmed is trying to follow his tactics in fighting the armed gangs. Though to less effect.

Well said, no matter how much we may oppose the religious pretenders and current factions one thing is 100% CLEAR:
