What does it tell you? What does it tell you Juje? As for the cabinet, Somalis can be so shallow sometimes. Whoever has been is named so let us see what transpires. Let us move on from "hebel baa ku jiro iyo hebel baa laga reebey" to waiting on them to the obligations of their new roles.
Twisted_Logic Posted February 20, 2009 The Cabinet is quite big and is prone to being inefficient. Somalia needs the kind of lean and mean cabinet that was functioning during PM Nur Ade’s administration. Having said this. There are some really good appointments especially in the Security, Interior, Financial and Defense portfolios. Sh Sharif has shown that he is a good strategist in making sure that his men where all in the top helms of the administration. This will help him govern more effectively and decrease any chances of mutiny within his administration in the future. It is no wonder that the AY loyalists are hell-bent on closing their eyes ignoring the cosmic shift of power in Somalia today and instead diverting the whole news by focusing on Ahmed AbdiSalan
xiinfaniin Posted February 20, 2009 lool@Ducaysane Waraa Sharifka Xassan waxaas ma yaqaan ee ka daa ninyahow. These are a political positions given somalia's current status. Even these cabinet memebers will rely on UN doll outs. Lets pray this one works so the country can stand on its feet again. Duke, Do you know who's this Azhari guy is. I dont believe he is Sharmarke's in-laws. Most people seem to mistake him with the other guy though.
Gheelle.T Posted February 20, 2009 Xiin, I though it's the same Azhari, is he not? I was wondering how Azhari and Addow would have sit in the same cabinet..There was a bad blood between them, at least in their TV debates..

xiinfaniin Posted February 20, 2009 Gheelle, no he is not. He is a different one. Yusuf Cumar Azhari is the man most people have in mind. He is not on this list. Gabal , waad u abtirisay. That should put this tuhun into bed then
General Duke Posted February 20, 2009 Cosmic change has already taken place The TFG system and Federalism is here to stay. What has changed? Nothing, we have a new President and a promise for change, we have calls for Shraia implementation and that is most welcome. For if one was after justice, then Islamic law is pure justice, it allows for no occupation of Muslim property and protects the innocent and unarmed. If devolution of power is what one is after then we will have the formation of states, and that’s a most welcome change. If one wanted to isolate a certain group or clan, well pardon but that did not take place at all in the contrary many of the key players have returned and some of the adversaries have been put into the dustbin of history. Nur Cade is gone, Ahmed AbdiSalaan is gone and again one applauds the PM’s swift and decisive move.

Cabdulqadir Cali for Interior I believe the only extraordinary move made by good Shariif is naming a religious man with real militia muscle and influence in the heart of Mogadishu as the nation’s interior minister. The rest of the names hold no tangible influence to actually yield real political change on the ground. Who is Sheikh Cabdulqadir Cali? The man has militia? That's troubling aint it? He is from Cadaado, Galmudug.

General Duke Posted February 20, 2009 LSK: Cadaado is not part of Galmudug. But he is from Cadaado.
Gabbal Posted February 20, 2009 ^Duke I was going to mention Cadaadites would object to being labeled as part of Galmudug! Xiin, Soomaali si kale ku hari mayso.
xiinfaniin Posted February 20, 2009 Ducaysane what are you fishing for waryee, this is Naafada, not Naaftada ala Cali Mahdi Duke, Gabal says he's Giiri's causin Aside the size of this cabinet, i think overall it's NOT as bad as some people would like to depict it
Libaax-Sankataabte Posted February 20, 2009 Duke, it is accurate Cadaado city stayed semi-independent owing to the early sub-clan conflicts in the area but my point was to lay emphasis on the regional characteristics rather than Galmudug's actual boundaries.
