Qandalawi Posted November 8, 2009 You should be ashamed of yourself if you have an ounce of respect, these men are Somali traditional elders and represent their respective clans or sub-clans, they are not public figures nor do they represent any collective Somalis, they are not politicians or hold any public post. It is not easy to learn how to respect, one has to be born to respect

It is not easy to learn how to respect, one has to be born to respect These garaads are politically very active garaad jamac , his father was also a politician in the 60s These garaads they very involved in clan politics this young land garaad jamac his uncle garaad cabdqani was also politically active. Now if these traditional leaders kept doing their home work and stayed busy with just paying blood money and attending Weddings Ziyaaros , and making peace between the clans. We have never seen garaads wanted to be warlords and waging wars against countrys Such as Somaliland
Qandalawi Posted November 8, 2009 Abti these men are not politicians, of course they represent their respective clans and thus must work for their societal well being. That doesn't mean they sough public office thus fair to slander them. Respect the clan elders of other Somali clans lest your clan elders are...................... Xishoodku waa udhalasho, Oday dhaqameed si kasta uu ukhaldanyahay afka lalama galo, reer dhan ayuu matalaa oo boqraday kuwaasood walibana aad rabtaan inaad dhahdaan way naga tirsanyihiin, sideed marka ugu quurtay inaad odagoodi caydo. Xaabsadaha Hargeisa kuu fadhiya ood leedahay waa good Citizen iyo Ali Sandulle waa Garaad-kii ay calaamo saarteen. Have some decency and go get some sleep. I think the Garaad's role is more political now than his usual and cultural duties ,,,, worst is he is even more military than being in the politics. It is not only him though .......... most of them are siyaasiyiin and dagaal oogayaal nowadays.
