Wisdom_Seeker Posted February 3, 2007 Where are the African Peacekeepers which were said to be coming at the end of January? Well it is February 3 and it feels good to know that there are no African peacekeepers in Somalia.

Castro Posted February 3, 2007 The Courts have been destroyed. Just ask the many dishonest laymen on SOL who cheer for the TFG. If that's the case, and all the warlords have been de-fanged, there's virtually no opposition to this puppet regime, what will the African peace keepers do in Somalia? Well, they will be there to protect the puppet regime. Protect it from what? Ah, they will be there to protect it from the people. That's right, the people are the greatest threat to this cowardly regime. Not the courts and not warlord militia. Let them come. Since the AU supported the Ethiopian invasion, they will reap what they have sown.
Wisdom_Seeker Posted February 3, 2007 Castro, the Somalis aren’t ready to fight the African Peacekeepers. They had enough of fighting and death. The Courts are still there and kicking. The warlords still remain to be part of the problem and the TFG doesn’t have a clue of what is going in the country. African keeping troops will just added more setbacks to the problem. I am glad that they are having a peace conference in Somalia. Hopefully the well educated Somalis will come out to voice their opinion.
General Duke Posted February 4, 2007 ^^^Are you sure you people want to make a stand on this issue?
Wisdom_Seeker Posted February 4, 2007 ^^^I am going by what you and the TFG officials said. That was at the end of January the first African peacekeepers will arrive. Sadly that is not the case and the TFG can’t even keep their words.
Xoogsade Posted February 4, 2007 Mystic, They need money to support the troops. The countries who hold the power of the purse put conditions on the Warlords. The arrival on the troops will depend on the political situation and how warlords perform. As usual, the future hangs in the balance and the people expected to save the day are the same old purveyors of hate and disagreements. I would be surprised if anything tangible comes out of Somalia any time soon.
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted February 4, 2007 Soori, sister. Some -- including the Father of Stooge -- subscribe to Xabash calendar -- the master's own calendar. According to Xabash's own calendar, it is still in Janaayo [January]. In Xabash calendar, this month is "Tubah," which starts in Janaayo 09 and will end Febraayo 08. So, give them a few more days nooh.

Jacaylbaro Posted February 4, 2007 what kind of political solution ?? ,,, ppl are divided into clans and sub-clans ,, they all armed and won't listen from anyone ,,,, no one can defeat da other one ,,,, so we need an external interferance to prepare the ground ,,,,
General Duke Posted February 4, 2007 ^^^A logical man is JacaylBaro. Rudy, the rangers did not have any politiucal plan, the external will work according to the national governements plan and timetable. The AU force will coem soon insha Allah and their representatives are already in Mogadishu meeting the mayor and army comanders.. Many here used to say the arms embargo will not be lifted, Clan Courts could not be routed..
Wisdom_Seeker Posted February 4, 2007 You are all motionlessly lingering in make-believe. Do you know what a political solution means? It simply means engaging in a dialogue and conciliation. Now you know reasonably well that Somalia needs to seize this opportunity by the horns and run away with it as fast as possible. For Somalia to be constructed again, force isn’t the method to be used. That scheme has been unsuccessful for the last 17 years. We can’t continue to go in circles parading around the same ineffective ideas. We need a political solution which will solve the issues facing Somalia and hopefully the main goal should be creating a non-tribalistic environment and end any foreign intervention. Not create more foreign interference. It is so simply, but when we permit amateur individuals to handle the job, it is more likely that it will never succeed.
