Shilling Posted January 20, 2010 Harardhere, Somalia (CNN) – Several Somali pirates were killed and others wounded in a gunfight. Reportedly the pirates were fighting over a large ransom given for a Greek oil tanker. According to reports the battle occurred in the heavily pirate populated town of Harardhere. Reportedly the criminals began fighting over how to share their loot. The number of pirates killed and wounded remain unclear. Elders in the town have revealed in published reports that tensions have been running high in the town rife with violence and criminal activity. The overnight exchange of gunfire was just the tipping point. On Monday pirates finally released the Greek flagged supertanker Maran Centaurus, and its crew of 28. Its believed the sum they received as ransom paid via air drop was between 5.5 and 7 million dollars.
