The Electoral committee said they could not finish all the procees to hold the elections on time ,,,, and the opposition parties agreed and signed to postpone the elections.

They saw what happened in Kenya and the rest of Africa. Too much focus on Africann elections right now, too much at stake. Uneasy about holding elections. WHo knows?

There is no problems with Riyaale's one year extention because the country can not be without a government till the elections is held.

 

But what really concerns me is the the electoral committee's ability to hold the elections on time. Most Somalilanders are losing confidence and their credibility is at stake this time round, if they again fail to get things going.

 

For gods sake this is a simple registeration, it doesn't need much of brains if you get the people and the equipment on the ground. The only tough part is getting the electoral officials ready, really.

the problem is not the commission inability but interference from the administration. at least that is what one of the Commissioners said.
