Thankful Posted February 23, 2008 Garowe, Puntland: The Vice President Hon. Hassan Daahir Mahamud received a UN delegation led by the new UN Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia Mr. William Patton. The delegation met with the Vice President at the Presidential offices in Garowe. During the meeting UN Projects in Puntland and future developmental projects were discussed. The meeting also focused on these key objectives: 1. To enhance the security within the State 2. The training the Puntland Police Force 3. Police stations and prisons in the State 4. Training of judiciary and assistancetof the legal system within the State 5. Social development (education, and health) The delegation will be in Puntland for two days.
