OG_Girl Posted April 4, 2005 ^^They deserved! they destroyed their country and want to destroy other's countries!! rudy, hold your horses dear these men were gangs! read this! April 4, 2005 1:05 PM Saudi Arabia executes six Somalis RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has executed a gang of six Somali men convicted of abducting and robbingtaxi drivers in the Red Sea port of Jeddah. The six men had lured taxi drivers to a remote spot where they hit them and threatened them with knives beforerobbing them and taking their cars, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Monday. The punishment appeared severe even by the strict code of Islamic sharia law practiced in conservative SaudiArabia, which calls for the amputation of the right hand for theft. Execution is usually reserved for murderers, drug traffickers and rapists. The ministry statement said the menwere put to death for "sowing corruption in the land and damaging security". Jeddah residents say growing numbers of illegal African immigrants, who are either smuggled across the RedSea or overstay after coming for the Muslim Haj pilgrimage, have triggered a sharp increase in crime in the city. Monday's executions, which are usually carried out in public by beheading, brought to at least 36 the number ofpeople executed in Saudi Arabia so far this year -- already one more than the number of recorded executions lastyear. Major-General Cawad Posted April 4, 2005 Istaghfirullah Rudy You can't call Saudi Arabia a ..... country because the two holliest cities of Islaam are located there Makkah almukaramah and Madinah almunwwarah. Please think twice before you write something in this forum. No insult but I'm equally ubset but we can't do anything about it. We aint got a government to defend us. This has been our problem for the last 14 years. Under the reign of Marxuum Siyaad Barre alla yaraxma this sort of things never happended because they were scared of us and they also had respect for us but no we're like animals to them. I don't blame them I can only blame us Somalians. The only way out is to support peace and democracy taking place in Somalia. Support the TFG and inshallah Somalia will be once more restored to its former Glory. Inshallah Inshallah. Amiin

Sky Posted April 4, 2005 wow beheading is pretty extreme, especially when these somalis only robbed cars and kidnapped. they should have at least been executed in a humane way like in iran. cant say they deserved the death penalty, maybe they were in extreme pressure, you never know. Sakina Posted April 4, 2005 Unbelievable! They murder 6 somali men and even if it is true that they robbed the taxi drivers (we still don't know if that is true) according to the Shariah they should cut their hands and not their heads. More unbelievable instead of condemning this so called Royal Family that not only took by force the two holliest cities in Islam but also stole the whole country and named after their own family name. My question is how can a thief condemn another thief to death when they actualy usurped the land in the first place. It is true that we don't have a government but we as somalis can do something about it by condemning out loud in front of their embassies (peacefully), writting letters, e-mail etc. We always see somalis out in the street when we have manifastations for supporting the Palestinian cause, why can't we do the same when our own brothers are murdered in this way instead of blaming the victims. Even if they were thieves they should have gotten the right punishement.
Major-General Cawad Posted April 4, 2005 I don't know what got into you but i can assure you that those guys did more than just not paying their taxi fare on the contrary they stole the whole taxi and threatend the taxi driver with knives. You can't just chop ones head because he stole something that's wrong in my eyes. But you see every country has got their own set of rules like thailand if the police over there catches you with drugs they've got a license to kill you. They should have thought about it before they did they got involved in this criminal activities. It's like the Maxkamadaha in Moghadishu who killed a young hungry boy who stole something to eat because he was starving to death. Basically they don't catch and deal with the real criminals like there are many people in the Saudi Royal family and the Maxkamada Islaamiga who commit all sorts of atrocities but because they're wealthy or from a certain tribe they suddenly become immune to all sorts of laws. The maxkamada Islaamiga in Moghadishu only know how to persucute and punish the weak one. This is not our deen. Our Propet Mohamed peace be upon him said if Fatima bintu Muxammad stole something I wouldn't be able to help her. He said it because a women from a big tribe in Makkah stole something and the prophet ordered to cut off her arm and the clans people said lets go to Usaama because he's the best loved companion of the Prophet to intervene on behalf of this women but the prophet got angry and called the people. his face was very angry and he said the people before you used to do that like the jews who punished the poor very severlly but if one of their noble or rich people commits it they would find a way out of it. Thats why they were destroyed because their system wasn't based on al-cadaalah.
OG_Girl Posted April 4, 2005 I am sorry whatever problems you have with Saudi Goverment but these guys are charged under crime which we call in our Islamic court "Fasad fill Arath", which are known as crimes against society or state in the Quraan not robbing crime! There are different types of punishment for this crime (Fasad fill Arth). For example: to kill (killing in an inhuman way-that what they been charged here!) or stoning to death is the punishment for this crime and other forms of punishment (this depends on the type of crime committed and so on)The option is given to the judge, what punishment fits for what type crime. So don't just jump up and down cause they are Somalis, Law is for all, doesn't matter if they are your people or not!! PS:The artical did not give details, if there was details I would know under what law they been charged. I will try to get some details and explain it insha Allah. Yusufaddie Posted April 4, 2005 The problem Sheikh Muhammad is not that we don't have a government but because we czannot rally behind one man. Now if some one jumps up with a plan for Somalia and calls himself Amir, Would you all accept him? if not what would be the criteria for his legitamacy? macalimuu Posted April 4, 2005 Suadi Arabia is run by cruel racist barbarians who are unjust and ungodly misrepresent the Shariah. I feel sorry for these unfortunate Somali thugs. They should have known better. here is the Saudi hypocrisy and double standards. The shariah is only applied to those less fortunate or darker skin Muslims, while the ruling Arab nobility is immune of any such swift Shariah justice. The Shariah is outdated and should be revised. cutting throats is so primitive and cannot be justified. There was a female cousin of mine who was raped by opulent, obese and unattractive Saudi Sheikh she was working for. She was a nurse there in a clinic ran by that filthy fat Arab guy. She recounted her ordeal to us. While he was molesting and raping her, as she was helplessly trying to resist. she screamed and yelled so loud that he get off her and whipped her severly. He scolded her to shut up and lower her voice becouse under the Shariah law it was Haram or illegal to hear such a thunderous female voice. " USKUT SOWTAL IMRA'AH AL XARAAM " then, I heard about stories about so many somali sisters in yemen sold as slave concubine to wealthy Saudi men. These somali sisters fled to Yemen as refugees and were caught by Yemeni tribal hoodlums who raped these poor somali sisters and sold them across the saudi border. my father went to live in Mecca in 1975 and stayed there until 2002. He has told us about so many horrific tales about the Saudi culture and society. pornography, homosexuality, bestiality, hypocrisy, barbarism, racism and so many evil unbelivable things are common in that "holy" place. my brother was once expelled from Jeddah (Tarxiil ) and he was forced to take a plane to Berbera. It was the time SNM and Siad Barre's brutal regime conflict was at its peak. He had to pay all his savings to a government soldier in order to avoid conscription. I really despise these robe-wearing big bellied immobile Saudi hypocrites. they don't represent Islam and they are making this beautiful tolerant Islam look bad to the rest of the world. Sakina Posted April 4, 2005 The Saudi Government has a history of changing the Sharia as they like. Now I would like to know if the punishment for stealing is by death or not? From my understanding is that stealing is a crime against society therefore they should cut their hand if it is a repeat crime also the other hand and the feet. I've never heard of cutting the head of a thief that did not kill a person. Unfortunately the Maxkamadda Islaamiga ee Muqdishu uses the same rules they copy from the Saudi Government that is why they cut the hand of an underage child that stole a thermos of tea because he was hungry. There is always a cause and effect. What is happening in the Maxkamadda Islaamiga in Somalia is the effect. The cause is where they are getting this untisharia laws from and we need to educate ourselves about the cause instead of blaming the effect. If these 6 men were robbers then cut their hands. Whoever took their lives should also be prosecuted and brought to justice. That is my opinion.
OG_Girl Posted April 4, 2005 The ministry statement said the menwere put to death for "sowing corruption in the land and damaging security". You guys are blind by hate or you can think??!! These guys not changed stealing crime but "swing cruption in the land and damaging security". For God's sake, this is their land and their law was there before you been there. Follow people's rules or don't go there! You choose!! Mcalimuu or whatever your name is , rape happened in somalia too cause the victims were from wrong clan... duuuh!!! Bad people are every where not exclusive in Saudi Arabia!! Salam
Taqwa Posted April 4, 2005 They deserved! they destroyed their country and want to destroy other's countries!! OG Girl for the love of God, Shut Up!! We know they where criminals, and they did something wrong. But we can't help but have sympathy for them. They didn't distroy Somalia nor could they possibly distroy another nation by mere theft. I'm not excusing their crime but for the shere purpose of knowing that they where from my country I am saddened by it.
