RedSea Posted July 31, 2008 1. Burco, TDH(in the center of Somaliland). 2. Berbera, Sahil(ex-capital of Somaliland). 3. Sheekh, Sahil. (remote and hard to reach) 4. Zeylac, Awdal. (historical seat of an empire). 5. Mait and Xiis, Sanaag.( old powerful port cities years ago, now simply villages but still with rich history)

Suldaanka Posted July 31, 2008 ^ You are in for a very big reality slap to the face sxb if you actually believe that Ceerigaabo is anything of what you think it is. Redka, A good candidate for a purpose-built capital is Sheikh Town. Very nice environs and happens to be in the middle of the country. But I think, at this moment in time, Hargeisa is doing its purpose just fine. We have a lot of other things to worry about.

How about Gabiley for agricultural capital while we at it? The reason we want to move the capital from Hargeysa is because it's too close to Ethiopian military bases so are Boroma and Gabiley. We want our capital to be as far away from hostile neighbors.
