Last couple of months there have been huge leaps in the development and identity of Puntland's society and plus huge political successes since the new government took charge of Puntland some 11 months ago.

 

Faroole and his team have done a lot. More needs to be done though.

The first task was building and forming a functioning and able government that is very strong and cohesive and have a good knowledge and insight in the works and politics of a vast State like Puntland.

 

Today the ministers we have are unequalled anywhere in Somalia in terms of trust, experience, knowledge and education.

 

Indeed a first class achievement that is:

A fully aware, functioning and working legislative on top of an competent execute!

Today Parliament is doing huge strives in being accountable by cross examining and inviting different ministers and even the president in order to show what they have been doing the last couple of months as in the case of the Finance Minister as he found out:

 

Finance Minister Faarax Cali Shire finding himself in the hotseat.

Furthermore Parliaments session and sitting this year has been extended for a few days as Puntland is rapidly developing and several motions and laws have to be rectified, passed and adopted by the Parliament.

 

The items and bills are huge 10 or 11 in total number that will see Puntland doing a great leap towards accountability and democracy in due time inshallaah.

Building a strong and capable army that will instill trust and confidence in the people and citizens of Puntland in its own army and its capabilities is one such development but I won't go futher into this matters:

 

Parliament was unwavering in this matter and played a crucial role:

Building and strengthening the capabilities of the Police force is another such task and outlining a new strategy by introducing newly trained police units such as the combined Bol-Bir is helping the government in keeping the State and its people secure.

 

An attack on them is an attack on us, combined.

More over the rise and developing of working together between the Puntland government in one hand and the large Diaspora on the other, namely the emergence of the Puntland Diaspora Forum a huge and remarkable step into connecting the State with the many talents in Europe, North America, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East and Asia:

lets look at the free notion first, how are you free. Freedom originates from the people to directly elect there leaders through balat and that does not happen in puntland the parliment decides, parlimentary seats are acquired via money or influence not an actual vote.

 

So clearly you are not free.

 

lets look at the brave notion,

 

historically you waited for the italians to leave somalia before you actually started to take part in the government, during the Ethiopian invasion you took a back seat role and waited for the final out come.

 

During the rebel days, SSDF the puntland rebel group actually surrendered and laid down there arms.
