Xaaji Xunjuf Posted Thursday at 10:35 PM I am not entirely convinced they are supporters of his rather, they appear to be supporters of the Bunker . Our president, Ciiro, is resolute in his desire not to be associated with such individuals, as he views their actions as damaging to his reputation and, by extension, to the name of Somaliland as a whole. Nacima Qoorane holds the belief that the SNM should never have risen in rebellion against her hero Afweyne. She considers Somaliland's statehood illegitimate and suggests that we should be ruled by Mogadishu and others. Such views are undeniably treasonous in the eyes of Somaliland its people and the goverment . It is utterly inconsistent to claim support for the Somaliland government, a Somaliland party, or the president of Somaliland, while simultaneously opposing the fundamental ideals and principles upon which Somaliland is built. This contradiction renders such a position indefensible. having said that it is entirely understandable why President Ciiro has acted to expel and bar these traitors from Somaliland. No leader within Somaliland can or will endorse those who align themselves with Mogadishu. It is a well established principle within Somaliland: should one choose to depart for Mogadishu, they can never return unless they ask for forgiveness. As for the Qoorane family, their disloyalty is so clear a whole family that consist of traitors . Nacima is not alone in this; her father, too, serves as an MP in the Bunker, further entrenching their alignment with Somalia. Despite her mother’s ill health and the expectation that subclan ties might afford her some leniency, this was not the case because a certain mr dabagale, SL former Police chief ordered her arrest . and she was deported from Somaliland The same with samatalis and others these people never supported the president i dont think nacima supported the president of Somaliland
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted Thursday at 10:38 PM Somaliland President appoints new military and police commanders Thursday January 23, 2025 Hargeisa (HOL) – Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro has appointed Lieutenant General Nimcaan Yusuf Osman Gaaxnuug as the new military commander and Abdirahman Abdillahi Hassan Abdi Dhere as the new police chief. Gaaxnuug, the youngest officer ever appointed to the highest military position, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in military science from universities in Ethiopia and the United Kingdom, focusing on international security and military leadership. He is also pursuing a PhD in advanced military studies at a university in Taiwan. Recently, President Irro has appointed several young men to directorial positions across ministries and agencies, signalling a trend toward youth leadership in the government. Abdi Dhere, the new police chief, previously served as the military spokesman and was among the highest-ranking officers in the military. Former police chief Mohamed Aden Saqadhi ‘Dabagale’ has been appointed as the president’s special advisor on police affairs. Dabagale is one of Somaliland’s most seasoned military officers and holds military science degrees from institutions in the United Kingdom. Former military chief Nuuh Ismail Taani, who served as the longest-tenured commander in the military, has also been named as the president’s advisor on military affairs. A Wednesday presidential decree announced a 50% salary increase for the armed forces, fulfilling part of President Irro’s campaign promise to boost army pay. The salary increase, scheduled to take effect in the 2025 fiscal year, is the first of several annual raises the president committed to during his campaign. He had promised a 250% increase in military salaries during his first term. The decree also mandates the implementation of an IRIS Biometric Registration System for all Somaliland armed forces, with registration set to begin on February 1, 2025, and be completed within 30 days.
