Successful country doesn't exist

point 1; History has shown attrocities that dwarf anything Somalia has experienced have not resulted in seperation and those were the examples i gave you, Somalia is not Yugoslavia with different ethnic groups like serbs, croats etc etc

second point; A guy who comes from a country that has a long history of cracking down on seperatists movements (up to the present) should not concern himself with countries facing the same, if he really supports seccesion then he should practice what he preaches and take up the plight of the Quebecans only then will his opinion hold some credit

The case for the seccession is not to be or not to be different ethnic groups. The same ethnic group can separate if they want and it depends on the people if they choose so. Djibouti is a somali ethnic and yet they are another country.

Second, The guy is a journalist not a president or a government. He is not the one giving orders to a certain regions to seccede.

With which non Somali ethnic group does Riyaale share power with like the Somalis do in Djibouti?

the guy might be ''only'' a Journalist but he's a hypocrite, it's like a Hargeisan journalist preaching and supporting seccession in Quebec yet staying silent on S-land's quest evendo he has multiple outlets to increase awareness of this agenda(which i don't support)

That is between you and the journalist ,,, so far he made a valid points and he is a well informed indivudual. For your information, he is not arguing for Somaliland, he is simply saying the truth that you don't like the world to know. Dad badanna intaasaa ka xanaajisa oo xaaladoodu waa ha sheegsheeginee naga daaya

Rayaale is an elected President sxb ,, he didnt come by tanks and foreign troops. He will go if the people want that and another one will come , yet it is the people's choice. The time for dictatorship has ended and no one can dictate where Somaliland should go. The choice has been made and the decision has been taken.

I know alot of things about Somaliland and it's administration, statistics etc etc which you do not wish the world to know

from the article..

In those days, Hargeisa had no running water, no electricity, no telephones and little food. It had no offices, either, except for the street corner where men sat on hardbacked chairs facing manual typewriters. They were the city's secretaries, its recording angels.

I remember a school without tables, blackboards or desks, its mud-brick walls covered by a canvas roof. Yet the school still functioned. The maternity hospital was in worse shape; beyond its green walls and pink door, there was only rubble. The chief mosque had survived, barely.

But the people of Somaliland have created a thriving market economy and a reasonably functioning democracy. Thousands of exiles who fled during the war have returned home, bringing critical resources of money and expertise. Money also flows in from expats in Toronto, London, Cardiff and other distant cities.

this is nothing special compared to any other part of Somalia, and i have enough sources to back it up

your reference to foreign tanks and troops is just taking advantage of Somalia's present day reality, i remember Burco residents burning newspapers defiling the ICU in their glory days that says alot and let's not forget the Northern Somali Unionists

with the right leadership everything will fall in it's place YEP!

ramadan wanaagsan i'm out

You are mixing our internal issues and the external factors sxb.

Burning a newspaper was not a support of the ICU, yes that is how you like to put it but it is not the reality, it was burned coz they accused Burco of supporting the ICU and that is why reer burco were angry and burned the newspaper to show the contrary. There were many other issue they had for the newspaper too.

"But the people of Somaliland have created a thriving market economy and a reasonably functioning democracy. "

This is the fact that you can never deny however you try to back your statements.

I don't think the right leadership is in the making at least in the near future. Ilaahayse sidii khayr leh ha ka dhigo.

"your reference to foreign tanks and troops is just taking advantage of Somalia's present day reality"

Is not taking the advantage , that is what is happening now in Somalia. We were there when there was no foreign tanks and troops.

Beenta(barefaced lies) mar walba way xuntahay laakin especially so in Bisha Ramadan. Hada waxaa lasoo shir tag-tay Reer Burco are opposed to the ICU.

If that's the case, then I would like to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge

Inshallah you will live long enough to see Ummada Somaliyeed united under Islam, as one cohesive nation, and Reer Burco and it's thoroughbreds at the frontlines of that cause, as they have always been.
