Deeq A. Posted December 26, 2024 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 As Somaliland embarks on a new chapter under the leadership of President Dr. Abdirahman Cirro, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed ministers. Your selection is a testament to the trust placed in you to lead the nation toward a brighter and more equitable future. This moment, however, calls for reflection as much as celebration. Many who stood steadfastly alongside the President during his campaign—bringing invaluable expertise and dedication—may not see their names on the list of appointments. I, too, may count myself among those whose aspirations remain unmet. But let us remember: our collective mission has always been about something far greater than personal recognition—it has been about transforming Somaliland into a just and prosperous nation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Our struggle has always been aimed at dismantling systemic inequities and constructing a society that is fair, inclusive, and progressive. This mission transcends any single role or appointment. The vision of the Waddani Party, guided by President Cirro’s leadership, continues to be our shared compass. Together, we must remain focused on this vision, ensuring its realization for the benefit of all Somalilanders. To those feeling overlooked, I urge resilience. This is not the time to step back but to stand firm in support of the President as he crafts a government reflective of the people’s aspirations. As Lao Tzu wisely stated, “𝐴 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑠. 𝑊ℎ𝑒𝑛 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘 𝑖𝑠 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒, 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑠𝑎𝑦: 𝑤𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑖𝑡 𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠.” Let us trust the process and focus on the collective good, knowing that progress often comes through unity and perseverance. 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 As you lead, Mr. President, we urge you to honor the contributions of those who worked tirelessly for your success. Their sacrifices and unwavering dedication were pivotal in bringing us to this moment. Recognizing their efforts will not only bolster the morale of your supporters but also reinforce the unity and strength of your administration. This recognition is about more than gratitude—it is about maintaining a connection to the grassroots efforts that propelled the Waddani Party to victory. By valuing these contributions, you will ensure that your government remains deeply aligned with the aspirations of the people. 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 For those who feel left behind, do not lose hope. This is a moment to reaffirm our commitment to the broader mission of building a Somaliland rooted in opportunity, equity, and dignity for all. Under President Cirro’s leadership, the vision of the Waddani Party remains our guiding light. Let us continue working together to make this vision a reality. As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑠.” Let us hold fast to our dreams and our collective determination to create a better Somaliland. To the newly appointed ministers, the nation places its hope and trust in you. To those outside the government, your contributions remain vital to our shared success. Together, we must forge ahead, united in our pursuit of a Somaliland that thrives on equity, progress, and unity. This is just the beginning. Let us stand together, support President Cirro’s leadership, and tirelessly pursue the brighter future we all envision. The best is yet to come. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺 𝗠.
