Puntland Police Recruits 500 Officers

The 500 recruits applied through a transparent recruitment process following awareness sessions held in Garowe, Qardho and Boosaaso.

Garowe (PP News Desk) — The Puntland Police Command has officially announced that the police force has recruited 500 young officers, all of whom are university graduates.

“The 500 new recruits consist of both males and females and will undergo training to become police officers specialising in specific policing fields,” reads a press release by the Puntland Police Force.

The 500 recruits applied through a transparent recruitment process following awareness sessions held in Garowe, Qardho and Boosaaso. Applications to join the Puntland Police Force remain open until 25 December 2024.

The Commander of the Puntland Police Force, Brigadier General Muumin Abdi Shire, also inspected the recruitment committee tasked with ensuring that applicants benefit from the fair and transparent recruitment process designed to allow university graduates to join the Puntland Police Force.
