Suldaan Cabdisalaan disagrees with the SSCK administration over the situation in Ceerigaabo

Suldaan Cabdisalaan has opposed the SSCK administration’s claim to represent the East Sanaag Clan clan in Ceerigaabo.

Badhan (PP News Desk) — Suldaan Cabdisalaan Suldaan Maxamuud of the East Sanaag Clan has reportedly stated “that his clan resides in several districts of Sanaag, and therefore, it is inappropriate to fuel political conflict in Ceerigaabo. “The East Sanaag Clan clan and the Sool, Sanaag, Cayn, and Khaatumo administrations do not share a common view on any conflict occurring in Ceerigaabo. Violations, including killings and looting, have taken place in Ceerigaabo. The responsibility to protect the lives of the people living in Ceerigaabo lies with local administration [Somaliland]” said one of Suldaan Cabdisalaan’s advisors.

Suldaan Cabdisalaan has opposed the SSCK administration’s claim to represent the East Sanaag Clan clan in Ceerigaabo. The Somaliland administration has yet to comment on the spate of violence that occurred in Ceerigaabo.

Videos posted on social media show SSB militia from Burco claiming to have taken over homes in Ceerigaabo belonging to Suldaan Cabdisalaan’s clan. The Harti clan members have entirely been displaced from Ceerigaabo following clashes between SSCK militia and Somaliland administration forces on the outskirts of the Ceerigaabo.
