Vice President of Puntland releases executive order sends dire warning to militias

You heard it here first:

 

The Vice President of Puntland who is also the Acting President made an executive order (official government decree) number 39. on the situation of Sool, Sanaag and Ein (Ayn) region today in which he released a dire warning to the militias in Widhwidh.

 

Mind you the militias he is sending this dire warning to are the ones calling themselves SSC Army.

 

This is happening because the Vice President after having looked at the Puntland constitution (Article 80, clause 6) decided that only the Puntland government is the sole defender of Puntland territory and only they can engage in warfare, the State's security forces that is.

 

No other group or entity will thus be allowed to defend the territorial integrity of Puntland State of Somalia because it's the State's i.e. government's duty to do so and no one else can do it on its behalf.

 

Hence all affairs concerning defence, assistance and maintenance of security is the sole constitutional obligation of the Puntland government.

 

Thus no one will be allowed to do the governments/state's work and thus the People have been send a dire warning not to engage in political actions or any kind of involvement in politics that are against the unity, peace and development of the State overall.

 

Anyone found to be doing the governments work of defence or thus implementing activities that oppose the unity of Puntland on behalf of another government/party i.e. SSC political organisation will be brought before a court and the concerned judicial agencies.

 

Thus all security forces in the governements/State's command should surveillance/investigate anyone who assists or even takes to arms in the SSC region.

 

The decree becomes effective ones the Acting President signs it.

 

The decree has already been signed by H.E. Brig. Gen. Abdisamad Ali Shire.

Maintaining Security in Puntland

 

I, the Acting President of the Puntland Government

 

 

Having Seen: Article 80,clause 6 of the Constitution of Puntland

 

Having Seen: The crisis in the state specifically in the regions of Sol, Sanaag and Ein

 

Having analyzed: The presence of plots planned to cause deficiency and damage to the cooperation, unity and freedoms of civilians in Puntland

 

Having respected: The 16/May/2010 Resolution of the Cabinet

 

I,acting President, do hereby Decree and Promulgate;

 

1. That all affairs concerning defense, assistance, and maintenance

of security in general is the constitutional obligation of the

Puntland Government.

 

2. That all the people of Puntland are cautioned against involvement

in politics and actions that oppose and negatively affect their

unity, peace and development.

 

3. Every group/individual implementing activities which oppose the

unity of Puntland , on behalf of another government/party, will be

brought before the concerned judicial agencies.

 

4. Security forces should carry out investigations/surveillance on

the aforementioned issues.

 

5. This decree becomes effective when the Acting President signs

well it's obvious that the the puntland vice president abdisamad shiire is against the SSC militia since they undermine puntland's job to defend the territories themselfs.
