Back to the future:

Barre , IndaCade, Abdi-Waal, Goobanle, Seeraar, Cirfo are all back with reduced militia numbers and bruised ego’s.

They are back as Ahlu Clan alliance against the big bad wolves of Shiekh Goodane, Abu Mansuur & Xasan Turki’s “youth” movement. How some graying old farts could be the “youth” movement is another story.

Ahlu Clan are afraid the void will be filled by local clans and the AL Shabaab, however even within this group you have Xasan Dahir who is not close to Hiiraale & Abdiwaal but will defend the clan territory and also try to impose IndaCade back on the once occupied lower Shabbale.

Al Shabaab seem to be the only group with a constant and coherent approach to the problem, lets just fight till we lose or gain victory.

Shiekh Cumar Imaan and his group pose a danger to the Sharif.

Sharif Ahmed has transformed from a “religious” leader to the clan chief and is now defending the interest of the major northern block with his Dayniile ally Janagow. This group have popular support from their clans but are mere sheep in comparison to the Ahlu Clan group of warlords led by InadCade and the Al Shabaab. Thus if they do not get international support of Ethiopian aid they will not last a few days in Mogadishu.

What we have is a return to pre 2004 Somalia with the warlords who have learned from warlord Xasan Dahir using the faith as their new reason to exist.
