Crazy year 2023-2024.  Muse Bihi administration finally got what it deserved,  AUN to Siilanyo.   Lastly congrats to Cirro and if he tries to be corrupt like the Muse Bihi admin I will oppose him too. We want to see rapid development in the next 5 years inshallah.

Welcome back. Gxjs are finally sitting on the kursi. Let's hope their supporters don't turn into heego.

Cirro is from a well off family unlike Muse Bihi I don't think he is here to loot the little Somaliland has. But yes he should be careful from corrupted individuals using his name to loot. A big task awaits him rebuilding Somaliland economy and army.

Many former Kulmiye goons are there with him, Let's hope he keeps eye on them. It is easy to corrupt Somali officials.

Ciiro’s leadership is likely to resemble that of Kulmiye, albeit with a more diplomatic and composed demeanour compared to Muse Biixi.

The key figures within Waddani’s leadership include who were all ex Kulmiye members and politicians

Xamarji, a former Governor of Hargeisa, who was arrested by President Siilaanyo on charges of corruption.

Xirsi, a notorious figure alleged to have embezzled substantial funds, once reportedly boasting, “I am 40 years old and have $40 million.”

Cadaani, a returnee from the United States who served as a State Minister during Siilaanyo’s administration.

Cukuse, a former Information Minister under Siilaanyo’s government. Cukuse oo cukusay who is not even an Ethnic Somalilandish person. only on his mother side.

Dr Bajaaj, who held the position of Foreign Minister during Siilaanyo’s presidency.

Xildhibaan Wabeeeye, a former MP affiliated with Kulmiye.

Liibaan samatalis a subclanish qurbajoog Youtuber he should also distance him self from that guy

In addition, Gallaal, previously a spokesperson for Kulmiye's diaspora supporters is also part of the inner circle.

Among the elders who support Ciiro, notable figures include Ina Jaambir, a divisive clan elder, and Cadde Guude, an even more polarising individual. These elders frequently surround Ciiro, adding to his political entourage.

The low voter turnout in the elections may stem from a perceived similarity between Waddani and Kulmiye. To many, the two parties share identical ideologies, systems, and political cultures, differing only in their symbolic colourrs orange for Waddani and yellow and green for Kulmiye. This lack of distinctiveness has disillusioned voters, leaving them apathetic about participating in the electoral process.

A significant concern is also Maxamuud Xaashi, who is widely regarded as corrupt. Associating with individuals of such repute could tarnish Ciiro’s credibility.

If Ciiro genuinely wishes to transform Somaliland, he should distance himself entirely from former Kulmiye politicians and build his cabinet with fresh faces. He should prioritise selecting capable members of the  qurbajoogs and, if necessary, consider appointing technocrats like Dr Beyle or younger MPs from Somaliland’s new generation. or cabdilahi Dahab of rajo who is SL nationalist and Cabdilahi Darawal SNM mujahid  the parties that didnt make it rajo and  horseed make them part of wadani, It is imperative that he avoids recycling the older, entrenched political figures of Kulmiye .

Insha’Allah, may Ciiro succeed for then Somaliland succeeds  he has my support . A smooth transfer of power, should he win, would be a significant achievement for Somaliland, reinforcing its reputation for peaceful transitions of leadership. This, in itself, would be a positive development, showcasing Somaliland’s democratic maturity to the world and a step closer to diplomatic recognition. Ciiro is a cool headed man i think he will do good if he just bring new fresh faces to the political arena.

Congratulations Cirro, this place is rotten to the core , needs to drain the swamp .

Th biggest problem to SL, apart warlord Biihi, is how the business men involved themselves with government, with monopoly, many contacts, that ultimately stifled competition.

Where in the world.do companie pick up key ministries that meant to regulate them.

No, he did not win in the previous election; he lost fairly. However, he may secure victory this time, as he has garnered significant support from both the eastern and western constituencies of Burco.

I do not believe any leader in Somaliland can effectively challenge the dominance of the major corporations. The oligarchs in Somaliland hold immense power.

Companies such as Telesom, Dahabshiil, Somcable, Indhadeero, Omaar, and Ina Caydiid dominate the economic landscape, employing a vast majority of the population. Dislodging their influence seems highly improbable.
